A US military plane with four people on board has crashed in northern Norway, Norway’s Joint Rescue Coordination Centres said today.
Reuters reported that the Joint Rescue Coordination Center said the V-22 Osprey, a U.S. Marine Corps aircraft, was reported as part of NATO’s ColdResponse exercise. Lost contact at 18:26 CET.
The military aircraft was participating in a training exercise and was due to land at 18:00 CET. The weather in this area is unfavorable and the condition is deteriorating. “The plane hit land,” a spokesman for the Joint Rescue Coordination Center said. He said it was unclear what was on board.
